Large dairy processor in the Central Valley, CA engaged 3P Partners to search for a Director of Procurement to lead the purchasing functions, systems and supply chain personnel across 6 different locations, including their facilities and corporate office.

The ideal candidate would be required to implement best practices across multiple business units while reducing costs year over year.  The focus of the search was to ensure that the candidate would develop the people, processes, and technology along with building solid partnerships with various third-party providers, especially line haulers, in addition to key internal stakeholders to ensure efficiencies and to reduce costs and customer chargebacks.

3P Partners were able to source and place a candidate within 10 weeks of starting the search.  The successful candidate had 15+ years of progressive experience within food ingredients procurement with extensive experience optimizing ERP systems and developing commodity price risk management strategies.
